On March 8 on International Women’s Day, we gathered 100 cannabis ladies from many different sectors of the industry for an unforgettable evening of connection. Deep insight was shared, lifelong bonds were formed and magic was unleashed – the way it always is when you gather a bunch of powerful and diverse women together.
The evening was made for women, by women and hosted out of FlowerHire Headquarters in beautiful Manhattan Beach, CA. The event featured:
- An inspiring fireside conversation with AnnaRae Grabstein, moderated by Sarah Falvo
- A lively wellness conversation with Hello Again Products co-founders, Carrie Mapes and Patty Pappas.
There were several other activations meant to empower and stimulate community, including:
- Infused body paint demo with Chef Jenn Felmley
- Lighter decorating station powered by Angela Pih and StateHouse Holdings

CannaLadies
The first CannaLadies execution launched last year at MJ Biz Con in Las Vegas, NV at FlowerHire’s Smoke and Magic event, where nearly 500 cannabis professionals attended.
Born out of the desire to create, nourish and foster a safe community for women in the industry, CannaLadies will offer more women-only events, visibility, connections and mentorship to help women feel more seen and supported.
The cannabis industry still boasts staggeringly low statistics for women holding management and executive-level positions. It’s our goal to utilize our passion, tools and network to help women thrive, and propel their brands and careers forward.
