40 Tons

40 Tons is a woman  and minority-owned premium cannabis brand based in Los Angeles, California. The company’s mission is to promote diversity and inclusion of BIPOC communities within the cannabis industry while creating a positive social impact. A portion of all proceeds are redistributed into local communities to benefit those wrongfully impacted by non-violent cannabis charges.

Cannabis Doing Good

Rooted in the power of this ecosystem, CDG creates pathways for consumers to support racially-just, people-centered, and planet-loving brands. Simultaneously, CDG offers resources for cannabis businesses to recenter communities, just values, and improve business practices. In 2020 the vision expanded to encompass a landmark antiracism training specifically for cannabis, which is now conducted for companies (and ancillary) across the country.

Our Academy

Our Academy is a volunteer-run, non-profit mentorship and workshop program that provides social equity applicants and BIPOC independent cannabis entrepreneurs with the resources and contacts they need to thrive in the legal cannabis industry. In their 13-week digital program, mentees learn how to approach investors, negotiate contracts, apply for licenses, set up a supply chain network, market their brands, and build communities around their products.

FlowerHire Senior Advisors looks forward to continuing to work with such honorable cannabis companies, and connecting with many more in 2023.
